The Power of Energy, Andrew Zweck and More…

It’s less than a week to go until IPM15 opens its doors and the agenda is getting bigger and better by the day. We always welcome the input of agents, managers and promoters, and this year is no different, as we’re pleased to announce that our latest confirmed guest speaker is Andrew Zweck from Sensible Events. Andrew will be loaning his wealth of experience to our  Covid & Brexit: The Perfect Storm mega-panel.

It’s really great to see so many familiar names, not to mention new ones, popping up on the delegate list. So, whether you’ve registered or not, here is a quick summary of the event.

As well as A Seat at the Table, Veterans and Rookies (which we covered in a previous newsletter) our second main morning panel is The Power of Energy, in which we will take a realistic look at not just what energy solutions are available but also what different parties use and how we can decide on and manage the best sustainable options at different event sites, tours and in different-sized venues.

The panel is chaired by long-term IPM attendee Duchess Iredale from EPI ltd in Ireland, who will be joined by Jacob Bilabel, Green Music Initiative / Aktionsnetzwerk Nachhaltigkeit, Germany; Padraic (PB) Boran, MCD Productions, Ireland; Amy Casterton, ES Global Ltd, UK; and Pete Wills, Power logistics, UK.

In addition to the four main panels, there are three production notes that will take place throughout the day:

The PSA presents…The Weather Maturity Curve. and Fight or Flight Case: A Mental Health Update, along with a special lunchtime Q&A with health & safety/welfare expert Penny Mellor, who will be in conversation with our very own Carl A H Martin. Try not to miss out on these extra events that take place during breaks.

The afternoon at IPM will focus entirely on crew and resource shortages and how everyone is getting back on their feet after the last two years, in our two-part mega panel Covid & Brexit: The Perfect Storm, chaired by Bonnie May from Global Infusion Group and Okan Tombulca from eps.

And, alongside the usual IPM agenda, there is an additional programme courtesy of E3S, who will be providing the Crowd Management Tabletops in the morning along with two afternoon panels, Crowd Communication & Behaviours and Rethinking Risk & Building Resilience in Event Operations.

And don’t forget, all the main panels will be recorded and made available to watch on-demand for registered delegates, so you don’t have to worry about missing anything on the day.

So, as you can see, we have a really busy schedule planned for you this year. And we haven’t even got to the networking opportunities, the five-star buffet lunch, and the closing drinks party. Because as important as the agenda is, what would IPM be without the opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues and kick back at the end of the day with a drink in hand.

For those who have registered, we can’t wait to welcome you all to IPM next week! For those who haven’t and would like to, there is still time… Click here.
